The Bridge and sending midi out

Post by cosmod » Wed Sep 22, 2010 3:08 pm

I have a live looping setup and my partner is using Serato. Will the Bridge enable him to send an output that I can sync to? Will I potentially be able to send a MIDI output that he can sync to?

Apparently syncing is done with a "home-made" protocol.
Behind the scenes, Ableton and Serato have implemented a two-way communication link to connect the programs. The timing is tight and it doesn't matter which program you open first.

It is a bridge - it's just a very short one!

Sorry, but why can't Live send a midi clock while slaved to a timecode record?
