lose my monitoring sometime after a recording

at times after i stop recording - i lose my monitoring of the signal coming into my soundcard, the light still shows up on, that orange microphone icon -but nothing comes through.. i then just click on the monitoring icon once and then again and it comes back...

Hi datagroove,

just to get sure that I understand you right.

1) The "Monitor trough Live" button in the Audio preferences is on.
2) In Session view, you choose 'Live In' for a track and switch the Monitor button for this track on.
3) Now, you see the orange level meter and hear the 'Live In'
4) You start recording into a clip
5) You stop the recording and then you don't hear the 'Live In' signal until you switch the Track's monitor button off and on again.

So far I could not reproduce it so please let me know if I understand you right or not.

yep your right. it happens interminably but it defiantly happens- I am noticing sometimes it happens and the monitor light goes out, while other times it happens and the monitor light remains on. I have been doing a lot of recording so if I make any progress in figuring it out I will post.
