Latency jumps up after recording midi in arrangement view

I have Ableton Suite 8. Sometimes when I record midi in arrangement view and then stop recording the latency would shoot up.

I know it's not a hardware issue because I'm running on a new macbook pro through an apogee duet. I have nothing else running and I only have one midi track in my project running a simple Electric instrument.

I can record and playback for hours and hours in session view with tons of effects and instruments loaded just fine without the latency jumping up.

But for sometimes (it's not consistent) when I record straight up in arrangement view the latency gets messed up (not all the time though). Then I stop recording and the latency goes up to the point where I can't even play back the instrument in time. I could hit and release a key before the sound even plays. The funny thing is, as soon as I restart ableton live and reload the same live set I was working on the latency is fine again. I wish I could provide more detail but it doesn't happen always so it's hard to pin point.

So I'm wondering if this is a know issue or some random settings I forgot to set? Does this ever happen to anyone else?

This is happening to me as well! Same setup and same story--everything is fine, no latency w/ midi or audio until I record in the arrangement view, no latency during recording but afterwards the latency is ridiculous on audio and midi tracks. When I reload the session there's no latency until after recording a take. So basically if I want to record without latency I have to nail the first take and then reload the session for any subsequent takes to reset the latency.

Did you ever find a solution to this?
