Draw to extend note mode
Would like to see when you had the pencil tool selected you could hold down a single command key to extend the note and release it to go back to the pencil tool. Logic has this and is really helpful.
Re: Draw to extend note mode
On PC, it's the Alt key.
Re: Draw to extend note mode
If you want to use a single key to switch between drawmode and normal mode, you could use glovepie on a PC,
f.ex.
Key.LeftControl+B=Key.F8 would turn your F8 key into a toggle key for the drawmode.

Re: Draw to extend note mode
It does work.
You have to press Alt *before* you click.

Re: Draw to extend note mode
Unless you mean after the note has been drawn, in which case you're out of luck and i misinterpreted what you meant!
Re: Draw to extend note mode
On my Live 8.2 it just enables velocity when in drawmode after drawing.
*EDIT*
Mkay sorry, didn't know that you had to press alt before drawing the note.

Re: Draw to extend note mode
What i do is i have the letter b assigned to the pencil, so it's effectively just 1 keystroke to get out and back in to pencil mode.
Re: Draw to extend note mode
That's even easier unless you want to do a set of keystrokes.
Thanks for the hint! You can actually use the altkey to toggle the note length snapping to grid. Nice!
