its not working? the syncing sucks?
what is going wrong or half developed there? dont have serato..but its interesting to judge about if the brideg was a pure waste of time and resources or usefull for something..
sofar i thought that theese serato bridge was the most unecessary wast of time ableton did sofar..
the max intergration seems to bring some users fun.. so i know why i had to suffer from a half year more crashing.. but to connect to a quick dieing media in a situation where the own programs looks like this?

Hehe, I always tell people I think using turntables to control a laptop is like using a donkey to pull a Ferrari.

Its not about "using turntables to control a laptop" but using the laptop with input from a turntable for gesture control.Tarekith wrote:Hehe, I always tell people I think using turntables to control a laptop is like using a donkey to pull a Ferrari.
If you think djing is silly, that is another discussion

gesture control? i thought the moments dj´s actually deal with the record are the only ones without gesturing around?

Re: The Bridge is out !
Gesture control maybe wrong words, hand movements for controlling musical devices/instruments or something
Re: The Bridge is out !
Turntables are a great all around tools and performance instruments in the right hands......
I have been beta testing bridge for awhile and at first the sync was problematic but not now.I am having no problems with sync on this release, just some laggy screen updates and couple of audio glitches after running for couple of hours. If your tracks in serato are beat grid right and loop n stuff in Live are warped in syncs right up.I do like to tap tempo for Live and nudge to sync it is more of what i am used too,but i can already tell i will be using the sync to deck when playing gigs so i don't sweat so much

It's no different that when guys were saying Analogue synths are dead, go digital.
Re: The Bridge is out !
I've been DJing for over 15 years that's all. I run the AbletonLiveDJ.com forums, release mixes many times a year, and was one voted as one of Shure's "Future Sound Of Chicago" Djs. Definitely not someone who thinks DJing is silly.

I'm just making a point. I Actually think your statement is funny. It made me think the future of DJing digitally may end up looking like some guy using Fushigi.
But your point rings true in a different kind of way too. I think it would be awesome to see a gig where some guy was using his smart phone to control a robot that used real vinyl and the robot performed every killer turntable routine times 10. Seriously, I would be stoked to see such a thing!
