whadda you guys use to label your controllers

Masking tape is not cutting it anymore. It's too sticky. Post-it tape isn't as sticky as it use to be and tends to just come right off. I've seen people use blue tape, but I like white.

I even checked the Sweetwater catalog earlier today...

But 1" is great for mixers and some bigger gear. Would love to have a thin version of this stuff for smaller midi controllers.

I use these for my mixing desk (yeah I know there's more space on an average mixer than on on average controller)

They even come with strips of adhesive magnets to mount on non magnetic surfaces.... the beauty is that you can hook up your gear as you like, and just place the tagz accordingly...... no more rolls of tape for me :D
More bass in the hihat

I print my labels on regular paper so I cna get the exact size and font I want (my handwriting sucks), then cut them out and use regular cellophane tape to apply. I find it doesn't leave a residue when you take it off.

It's called "paper tape" in industry-speak. They also come in 1/4 and 1/2 inch sizes. I use 1/4" for midi controllers.

I just use a little label printer.
