Macro Mapper Across Tracks

I have a problem I would like to solve and I was wondering weather it is possible to acheive using max4live.

I have my project set up where the first two tracks are full tracks and other clips from full finished tracks. The other tracks in my set are other clips such as vocals beats loops etc. I am using the apc40 and would like to be able to achceive the following..

Track 1 and 2 have full tracks or parts of full commercial realeases. So in order to mix these i would like 'dj mixer' controls. therefore the idea i came up with (not sure if its possible), is to have these clips and tracks on tracks 1 and 2 with a rack on each one for my dj mixer controls. Low mid high gain. then on a separate track say track 8 some sort of device where i can select that track and the rack on this track has control over the 4 knobs for track one and the 4 knobs for track two. Which will then corrispond to the apc device knobs. This way i can have control over both tracks eq and gain at the same time.

I was looking at the clip mapper but that seems to only control parameters in the track in which it is loaded.


Any help or advice would be great!

Yes it can be built....

You'd have to be very specific with it though and decide how you'd decide how to change the focus of the knobs etc....

You could always use the control surface scripts of hanz_petrov to create a second set of device control knobs with the track control knobs??

I always have this as an option with my template but you know this already....

Clip Mapper works across all tracks (not inside racks). So does the "Sixteen Macros" device.

Great. I want to get into programming max so i can figure theses problems out but I want to spend the time making the music not programming. There just isnt enough hours in the week! Cheers guys.
