Get a (free) copy of Audacity and use the generate white noise function?
"The banjo is the perfect instrument for the antisocial."

(Allow me to plug my guitar scale visualiser thingy - www.fretlearner.com)

are there different qualities of white noise? like do some synths have nicer white noise than others? or is white noise simply white noise? i feel people like autechre can make it sound really good, but i have a feeling it's more to do with the eq and compression used.

hope this isn't too much of a threadjack.

sure.. some syths are famous for theire noise generators..

theoretical white noise is all freq in equal amount and therefore all noise should sound the same... but.. it as with the yny daw sounds the same statements..... same same but different
