i'm looking for a very basic sampler vst that works in the following way:
-you load a sample
-you pick a start point
-from there, it will insert markers based on BPM (such as every 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 note) which you can adjust
-these markers are where each individual sample will start, and the samples will be automatically mapped in order across the midi keys (c1, c#1, d1, d#1, etc)
-has an ASDR envelope, but no other effects required as they can be done externally
-no warping or time stretching required, the marker intervals are just based on note durations from on simple BPM calculations
like i said, i'd prefer something very basic that can perform these functions instead of a complex sampler. any suggestions?
asr-10 style vst (automatically maps samples to midi keys)?

Simpler.

that would be great, but i don't think simpler does these things:

Would you be referring to the "Slice to new midi track" option for a warped clip?

no, i'm looking for the functionality of a sampler, not warping or time stretching.
for example, if i had a clip that was 120 bpm and i wanted to slice it into individual samples 1/4 note each to map across a midi keyboard. i'd normally have to manually copy a sample over and over again to different keys and adjusting the start marker for each individual sample.
this would be much easier if the sampler could automatically assign where in the clip each individual slice starts based on a BPM. each slice would be 1 second apart if assigned to 1/4 notes at 120 BPM. if you changed the tempo to 60 BPM with the same 1/4 note duration then it would move the markers to 2 seconds apart.
the slicer in fruity loops comes pretty close to what i'm looking for (it can auto-slice and auto-map the slices to midi keys) but it has very little flexibility in regards to adjusting the size of each slice, which is a very simple thing.
