Re: KONG DRUM RACK ?
My guess is with an external instrument routed to Kong in each Drum Rack cell.

A rack is just that; a placeholder which can contain just about anything. So this includes synths like Operator, Analog, etc. Basically; in comparison to Live the only thing different about Kong are the drum synths.
But a drumrack can basically do exactly the same as Kong, yet also a whole lot more as well ("16 pads, one sound per pad" vs "128 pads, several sounds per pad if you want to").
I agree that drum rack is pretty solid. If you have max for live it is pretty much unlimited. If you don't have max for live, it is pretty useful to be able to control velocity of kong drum pads via matrix. If you route each pad to a matrix it gives you pretty solid control velocity control and step sequencing. you can also hook up any instruments to any pad. If they only had MIDI out to be able to control the input of these steps in the matrix via Lanuchpad I'd be set.
Then using live's effects/vst's effects on kong's output is perfect.

Re: KONG DRUM RACK ?
But why would you want to control Reason from within Live? Why not just have it running in rewire, switch over to Reason and use it's devices?
Just curious.

Re: KONG DRUM RACK ?
I love Reasons devices but I hate the way it works with Live, the flipping back and forth feels like way more hassle than it's worth. Look forward to your patch, sounds v cool.
