Rebirth with Ableton Live
Rebirth with Ableton Live
Hi,
I have recently got a hold of rebirth and have been having quite a bit of fun with it, but I am wondering is it compatible with Ableton Live? I launch live first then launch Rebirth, the meters show there is sound but I hear nothing, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks (First Post!)
BTW, I have Windows 7, using Asio4All drivers

You're going to want to make sure you've got a track whose input is set to ReBirth Rewire. I used a setup like this on Vista for about a year and it was great.
I think my favorite thing was Rewiring in the 303s into Ableton and then putting Ableton's devices on them. ReBirth filter into Ableton's filters and then a delay sounds really cool

After reading the message boards on the Rebirth Museum, as far as I know the newer Mac OSX is not supported, but anything before 2005 is (Old OS Mac)
Yeah its a pretty good emulation for now being free, I love playing around with the 303s as well

D16's VST/AU Phoscyon is the best 303 emulation IMHO.

Although Rebirth is the best FREE 303 emulation and still pretty cool.

i own phosicon.. and used it on stage as a 303 replacement.. but while the sound can be quite good the interaction with the knobs dont has the grip you need to make it bounce

Re: Rebirth with Ableton Live
If I remember right, make a new track, and from the Input chooser, pick "ReBirth Rewire." This will only appear if you have ReBirth installed of course, but I believe it will appear even if ReBirth isn't started yet. I forget if you have to set anything up with ReBirth first... I don't think you do.N3H3C wrote:"You're going to want to make sure you've got a track whose input is set to ReBirth Rewire"
How do I go about doing this?
EDIT: I got the names wrong :) Make a new track and from the "Audio From" chooser, pick "ReBirth Audio." I just fired up my Windows machine to check.
