Beginners Books on Synths and Audio

Hey everyone, I don't know much about audio and synths and I"m looking for maybe a book or video. Stuff on synth as I don't even know what an LFO or gate is and stuff on audio such as bit rate etc.

I'm a nub.

This covers alot of the aspects of Synthesizers, plus some musical theory and some tips on how to create and record different types of music. It can be a little heady so you may have to re-read some things.
