well I'm doing this for the first time myself, so I'm a little unexperienced here 2.
I think I will have to unauthorize with ableton customer care, then send the serial to whoever wants it, from there it should be fine right???

Any suggestions on how to do a transfer like this in the most safe and secure way are very welcome here Seriously.

you don't do it yourself, ableton does it for you. they transfer the license, so all you do is reactivate, and done. live has always all instruments in it, just not active. no download, nothing needed.
