Advice needed - Session View Playback greyed out

Post by rob lee » Thu Oct 07, 2010 11:17 am

Hi all,

Im in need of a little advice here,im sure it's user error on my part as iv'e just been reaquainted with Live after a couple of years so here's my problem.
I have all my data in midi clips no problem,i hit record and switch to session view and all is fine, however i switch back to my mid clips and then back to session view and the song is greyed out and won't play.
Did i hit a wrong button here because all the data is there in session view?
It's doing my nut in trying to figure what i pressed.
BTW
My midi clips work just fine still.
Thanks in advance

Rob

I'm not clear on something - is the track greyed out in Session View or Arrangement View? If it's greyed out in Arrangement View, then this is probably because you have specifically selected a clip to be playing in Session View, which overrides the sequencing that you've set up in Arrangement View. To correct this easily, click the "Back to Arrangement" button - it's next to the Overdub button in the panel of transport controls. It'll be red if Session View is overriding Arrangement sequencing, and grey if it isn't.
