I am still having this problem in Live 8.2! Can anyone confirm what the issue is and how it was resolved? My spec:

Windows 7 x64
Intel Core i7 920
6GB RAM

Any ideas would be great as I am truly stuck with a project here... 8O

I just recently started getting this problem with a set in 8.2.2

Anytime I tried to duplicate time or insert blank bars, the project would crash. Very frustrating.

After some trial and error, I found that freezing/flattening a couple of fully stocked drum racks fixed the problem. I had three drum racks which were packed (128 samples each) with some complicated nested midi device action going on... for some reason getting rid of that complexity seemed to allow ableton's brain to start functioning again.

So if others search for this issue on google hopefully this pops up as a fix!

cheers
