i wrote a little tutorial about how to synchronize two or more Macs via a Midi-Signal over WLAN-Network (without any Cable).
It's quite easy and it offers many new possibilities to expand your Live-Setup.
Everything was done without any additional Software.
The Tutorial is written in German. I hope you can understand it.
If some of you would like to have it in English I could translate it.
Here you'll find the
Tutorial (it's part of my Blog).
Have fun and rock on!

interesting.. how much tempofluctuation do you have on the slaves ?
some people told me they have seen stable netwwork sync but the failed to demonstrate it and wasnt sure if the just havent realized the wobbeling at the event...
so when the master is for example 125..what do you read on the slave?
Hey 3phase,
that's pretty interessting.
The thing was, i was trying to sync two Live Projects. On both sides were Audio-Samples running.
We synced the two systems via a Midi-Cable an had lot of problems because both were running out of time.
So we were looking for another solution ...
We tried the WLAN-Network thing and it worked way better than via a Midi-Cable.
Some now and then at the beginning we had to wait for one or two bars for the systems to be in time but from then on we had no problems. So that's the way we are going to use it.
Our Master tempo was 130bpm. On the slave system it was between 129.5 ... 130.5.
So it wasn't exactly 130bmp but we couldn't hear the bass and beats run out of time – even after more than an hour!
So I hope you'll have fun with it.
