Wondering if anyone has experience putting up, and taking down bass traps...
I have some auralex foam corner bass traps, and I want to put them up. What are people using to do this? I know auralex have some adhesives, but Im hoping I can find a solution that won't damage my walls if/when I vacate the room. Basically trying to avoid doing a paint job somehwere down the road!
Cheers,
J

Use T-pins from a craft store:

Only leaves a pin hole in the wall and two are more than enough to hold a LERND. I used these for years when I was renting, works great. Get the largest ones they have though, the little ones bend too much trying to go into the wall.

Interesting... I would be going into brick through plaster, and I've chipped the wall already doing that... You still think it's a good idea?
Re: Putting bass traps up
I did it with plaster walls in a few places, a small hammer helps get them in and you don't need to go that deep. The foam isn't that heavy.
Sure beats trying to get 3 year old adhesive spray off the walls!

Damn, were you able to get the spray off in the end? Or am I bringing up more painful memories??
Re: Putting bass traps up
I've never used it myself, right away I could see how much hassle it would be when we moved. Always used the T-Pin method myself, much easier.
