Update procedure

I just installed the 8.2 update (from 8.1.3). Now I have two Live folders on my disk. Can I uninstall the old version without consequence? Was I supposed to do that before I installed 8.2? I would think the proper update procedure should be given on the same page that I downloaded the update from.

I don't know why ableton hasn't given a procedure on this, I was wondering the same thing. It stands that you can just remove the old version because your ableton library is saved to a different location than one of the program folders. This being said, i downloaded skins for ableton and when you update you need to make sure to drag the OLD skins into the NEW folder because those are one of the only things that dont transfer over.
