problem when recording multiple takes

Post by Ratstar » Mon May 16, 2005 3:42 am

Running Live 4.1
Granted I've currently got about 22 tracks on this one song. But I'm trying to records mu8ltiple takes of a piano and then want to comp. I've been using the scenes window and the arrangement window and seem to be having the same problem. The total length of the track is about 85 bars. Each time I record a new take it's, for some strange reason, only recording about 35 bars of audio. There are no markers or punch outs automated. I should be getting full takes but something is causing it to stop tracking even though record runs for the full length of the song. WTF?

Sorry if this is a silly question, Is your hard drive full? When recording, what does the remaining available time show? (bottom left of screen)

There's about 15 minutes left on this drive.

I never solved the problem. But I did go back to an earlier version, updated it and have had no problems recording complete takes. Don't understand what happened. If it was a bug or a ghost in the machine.
