Hi Ableton - as the subject says, Ableton is cold crashing on me every 5-10 minutes while I'm working. I've used Ableton for years and have never (maybe once?) had it crash on me. This started happening out of nowhere, as far as I can tell. I don't use 3rd party VSTs, it's a clean, no internet, super minimal work-only computer, latest sound card drivers, the works. Even tried changing out my interface for a different one, same deal. Upgraded from 8.2 to 8.2.1, same deal.
The crashes are consistent and require a reboot every time. As you can imagine, this is insanely frustrating to my workflow.
I sent in the crash reports 2 and 1/2 days ago (Case ableton462517) and still have not heard a peep about my issue. I've always stuck up for Ableton's stability (just read my post history!) but now I feel like asking for a refund
. It's that bad.
Any help would be appreciated.
