Any good Midi/USB Controlers/Keyboards you guys recommend?

This will be my first piece of Hardware ever, been thinking about getting either a APC40 or a Midi Keyboard with knobs and faders and such, what do you guys think? For midi keyboards I was leaning towards M - Audio Axioms (2nd Gen) or Oxygen, but I don't know if these are compatable with Windows 7. I don't want anything too expensive
