recently i purchased a external mixer and midicontroller named yamaha 01x. when i connected it with laptop running live4 there is no synchronisation whatso ever and even audio device mlan can not be opened, it's seems to be not compatible. is there a solution or do i need to ditch this expensive hardware or look for another sequencer.
help is much appriciates.
can't controll yamaha 01x with ableton or vice versa.
The 01x works fine with Live.
I'll gladly help you if you can be more precise on your problems...
First, let's fix the audio/mLAN. Assuming you have installed the drivers correctly (see http://www.01xray.com/forums/showflat.p ... ber=123157 for a walk-through), remember you must start the driver before using it (system tray icon "Yamaha mLAN manager"). Only then will ASIO/mLAN be available to applications. Pardon me if this is obvious to you already, but we must start somewhere.
Once the driver is started, you may want to adjust the number of I/O channels using the Autoconnector menu option. Start with a reasonable number like 8/8, you can always add some later when things work.
Then start Live, open the preferences dialog, Audio tab, choose the right driver (ASIO mLAN), open the input then output configs to activate the channels.

PS: I would NOT advise to upgrade the drivers untill you have a working system, this can be REALLY touchy.

actually it's the problem situation of a friend who don't have internet on his laptop.by purpose.
we gonna try this out and see if it's working.
another q : is the remote control of o1x also active with ableton ?
let you know whats happening on this side.
do you use ableton with o1x? fully compatible?
kind regards, undaria.

once you got things running (ie Live outputing sound and it's midi led flashing), you may want to try MCCL(*) for the remote part. But I'd reckon it's not a good idea to add anything to your (friend's) system untill the basics are working.another q : is the remote control of o1x also active with ableton ?
