Gate VST with external key sidechain?

I know this has been covered in great detail,I've searched the forum but was unable to come up with any real SOLID answer. Dose anybody know of a good VST Gate plug in with an external key sidechain or does one not exisist????

2. its best to specify if you are on a Mac or PC to avoid disappointing answers

Try Camel Space from Camel Audio. It is a gate sequencer with multiple effects. Very good but very expensive...

if you're on PC , Gate skidder (free on KVR) enables you to open the gate with midi notes,
