Automation Tools: Start/End Point and Selection of Templates

I'm surprised that this feature hasn't been incorporated yet...The ability to select a start point, apply a type of automation curve, and an end point and Live then applies the selected curve type to fit the start and end point...A feature that would TRULY give LIVE the TITLE of FASTEST CREATIVE IDEA EXECUTION POSSIBLE IN A DAW !

I just bought and started using Logic because Live doesn't have this functionality. Will consider switching back once they implement it.
