Grouping instruments

Post by johnboy_johnson » Tue Oct 26, 2010 8:21 am

Hi. I'm trying to group a number of instrumets and control them all using my midi controller. I can group the instruments no problems and arm them so they play in unison. My only problem is I can't see to conrol them using s ingle midi clip. They all record under there own midi clips. I want to convert the single midi clip to audio for manipulation. Any ideas on how I do this?

Thanks.

I think the simplest way to do that is to put all your instruments in an Ableton's Intrument Rack, which finally is a group! :D

With this method, you will need to arm a single MIDI track only and just one MIDI clip to make all the instruments play in unisson. 8)

Exporting the result in an audio clip will be also much easier.
