Folder "COMPANY SUPPORT Dir" not found ERROR on Mac install

Hello

I have an official copy of Ableton Live Lite 8.2.1 and everytime i try and open Live on my MAC OS X 10.6.4 after having installed it, i keep getting
an error saying THE FOLDER "COMPANY SUPPORT DIR" NOT FOUND, as it is trying to open Live
Other Macs I have tried installing live seem to work fine but mine for some reason kep giving me this problem.
My ableton support folder has read & write permission. i've tried deleting file in "tmp" folder called live engine Rewire that i read might be the problem but i still get this error everytime. i've tried installing from disc and from the site.
any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Check if you can read&write in the tmp folder in /private
If there´s a "LiveReWireStorage_0" file in one of the folders, try to remove it.

Apart from that, run apple´s repair permissions.

i've tried that.
everytime i get rid of that file ""LiveReWireStorage_0" and try and open live i get the same error and it re creates this file "LiveReWireStorage_0". it's like a never ending circle.

do you know how i can try apple's repair permissions? thanks, marco

It´s totally fine that Live creates this file.
It might be a permission mix up - best way to repair permissions is to boot from your
system installation DVD and run disk utilities from there, see:

This can happen with an outdated Melodyne version - make sure Melodyne is up to date or completely remove it...

how and where what do i do to get the "LiveReWireStorage_0" folder. i am having this same problem but i'm new to mac so i don't know how to navigate my way through folders etc. any help is awesome
