when I see posts like this I often wonder if its a preset bank they are after, and not a VST that specializes in a particular sound

some1 specifically asks for a bass vst, and any1 dares to write -anything- else but trilian, lol^^

Because most electronic music uses analogue synth bass type sounds and you don't need a bass rompler for that, any vst synth Massive, Sylenth, Arturia's vintage emulations etc. will all do fine, pick a bass preset and tweak it up a bit and you're made.

Samples are convenient and easy, but not essential if you own other synths or virtual synths. Sure Trilian is a great product but that's not the point.

Of course, in this lazy preset world of ready made loops and samples, some people will try and take the easy way out because they can't be bothered tweaking some presets.
