i guess its only you...

i really don't understand whats so special about it though. I think moogs are synths that only older generations can appreciate, but the newer generations? i don't think so...

and you are stoked about it because ? do you have grandchildren by the way ?

Why would I want one? I can get the exact same sounds & tones out of the Arturia Minimoog and Moog Modular plugins for a lot less dough. :o

Here's how I see it. Moog realizes their gear is expensive in a time when plug-ins are getting better and better. So they release a further watered down piece of hardware at a slightly cheaper price for those who absolutely refuse to believe they can get a great sound out of software but don't have a ton of money to throw around.

Enter Mint Invader.

Moog is the Apple of hardware synths.

I don't think so.. Moog realized their entry level synth is still pricey compared to other entry level analogs,
and with the current rising interest in small affordable analogs this can only be seen as them entering that field..

I know, why would you want a Thermionic Culture Phoenix when you can get the exact same sound from Reason COMP-01...

That's a sad sad comment on the state of music these days really.
Do some research if you don't understand, you're conclusion is wrong.

There ya go...exactly. See what I'm sayin...anyone who drops 4 or 5 large for one of those units just for some compression has a head full of river rock. Heck, a BOSS CS-2 pedal or even a Joe Meek unit would be satisfactory if one insisted on outboard hardware for cryin out loud. :)
