Transpose samples w/MIDI?

Post by johndoe99 » Wed May 18, 2005 10:30 pm

I'm sorry if this has been asked or if it is a silly question, but:

I finally got a UC-33e for use with Live and have been going absolutely nuts with it over the last few hours...Seems like it can easily do everything that I want it to do live except: It seems as if you cannot change anything in the Clip View with a MIDI controller -- including the option to transpose the sample up or down however many notes.

It is important that I be able to shift a sample up and down 3+ octaves for one part of my live show, and it would be great if I could do it from my UC-33 rather than dragging myself back over to the computer to awkwardly tamper...

Anyone know how this can be done? (Must be a very easy solution -- a plug-in or something?)

Thanks,
-matt

Yeah, just use the MIDI effect called "pitch".
If you want to do that with audio, you can use a plugin from tobybear called "madshifta".
