Re: Exciting and innovative features of Windows 7
I'm only posting because djsynchro seems to be hung up on some "its just blurry" trip and I'm thinking he should change his monitor. "Its just clean as polished glass" is more like it and as someone alluded to earlier it can't use much (if any) more RAM for display than OSX is using.
While I'm at it though... nebs got a point about the internet blowjob you give Apple on a daily basis there LSZ. Your arguments with Digital Damage are like a stalemate. It would help if you weren't recycling so many of dum's witticisms but really at this point someone could show you anything from any other company that was fucking amazing and you would find a reason to tout Apple as having a better idea or model. Currently I'm sick of the fucking iPhones our doctors use at work because the lock on them can be easily hacked (announced Monday by Wired) and when Apple oh so quietly pushed out an update to fix yet another gaping flaw in their all apps are root philosophy they broke the connection to web based exchange mail... and on and on it goes round and round with a music app being your connection to a hand held.
You can love or hate Microsoft all you want, but they nailed it with Windows 7, especially the 64 bit. All the remember when statements in the world aren't going to change the past, but the future (and the display) is bright (and clear) for this OS.
carry on batin and hatin...

But do you love windows? You don't, because nobody does. I'm on Windows because for the price of an expensive Mac I can have a PC render farm, it is that extreme and I can get anything to work, so I don't need OSX to hold my hand. The more specialized your application is, the more you need to read and know your shit anyway.
Do I love Windows? I don't and I probably never will. The day Chrome OS or Linux runs the apps I need is the day I'm off Windows.
Don't say it'll never happen Microsoft ar consistenly failing in every new area, search, touch, mobile, cloud computing.

Anyone who "loves" an operating system is a right sad fuck, It's a tool that does a job and Windows 7 does this well enough.

Blurry title bars are an atrocity. Leaving them is too. They rival the ultrablue title bars that were the standard setting on XP and 99% of all Windows users left it set to that. Microsoft's graphic designers need to be shot.

1. Your post was more about you're state of mind than mine.
2. If your definition of 'stalemate' means that I've routinely fisted digital_dodo, then I agree.
3. I love my 3 PCs, so MLAH.

Re: Exciting and innovative features of Windows 7
Eh, Microsoft is big oil in just about every comparable way, firmly resting on their large market share with very little motivation to truly innovate. The only difference is now more and more people are starting to see other options as viable in the tech world.
Maybe Microsoft should do like Apple did with Jobs and bring back Bill. Jobs left Apple and it started tanking but he came back and here we are. Bill left Microsoft and here they are. It's clear that not just any douche with a degree and impressive resume can make these companies great.

It used to but several people suffered a heart attack from instant awesomeness so they wanted to give time for people to prep themselves when launched.
