My 1st attempt at a track in live... please comment

Post by ySeStuGf » Fri Oct 29, 2010 12:54 pm

Hi this is my 1st track made in live, please take a moment just to have a listen and see what you think all comments and tips appreciated (good and bad!)

I know it needs mastering but i want to concentrate on the production side of things and get that right before i move onto the mastering side of things.

Thanks

It's a pretty long track, but a decent start.
I'd cut down the two sections from the start to minute 3:30 and 6:00 - 8:15 to start. I might cut some of the other parts down as well. I'd try to get it in the 4-5 minute range.
Secondly, are you using Live's reverb? I'd use the reverb wash and ping pong delay a little less frequently. Try out some different effects. Play w/ the beat repeat, EQ, and gates. I think it would seem a lot less repetitive. Great start though. Far better than anything I've done on a first try.
