external delay

Post by BreathingInProgress » Mon Nov 01, 2010 7:35 am

hi,

lately i was experimenting with internal feedback loops in combination with Live's delay settings.
this seems to eat up processor capacity. the higher the delay setting the more impact on the processor (perhaps due to waiting for processed samples before further working on them). it might help to route the samples via a software device outside Live to get the delay (something between 25 and 500 ms). is there anything around providing this feature in a controllable manner?

cheers,
bernhard

Do you mean a external software for the delay?
There are a lot of plug ins you can use.

Or you have outboard gear

Don´t want to hurt you but it does not sound that you have a fast computer or soundcard?!? What are you using?

I built for my liveact a own tape delay in live with variable feedback and it works fine in a running 15 track session + channel FXs.

The cool thing about techno still, comparing it to most jazz is the improvisation coupled with raw energy.
