Great news!!! Although we all expected L5 soon, it's nice to see it (virtually) confirmed by the Abes. Summer NAMM would be likely, so it looks like all you Indianapolis dwellers will be the first to see Live 5 outside of Berlin...Frank Hoffmann wrote:You have to upload the song till June 1st, 2005

The problem with performingrights organisation is that they are a bit like the mafia. You cant live without them in the longterm as you see now with this contest.rictheobscene wrote:I'm curious about that one myself.computo wrote:so being a member of a performing rights organization makes one elitist?
How does that work?
Huh? Maybe I've completely misunderstood your post, but really, the performing rights orgs around the world are our friends. Without them, most musicians (apart from major global popstars) would make very little money at all. Face it, most musicians aren't interested/capable in the business world. The performing rights organisations make sure you get paid and the fees they take from the collective royalty pool are miniscule for what they actually do.3phase wrote:think about a society where only the kapitalistic industries had a vote without resistance of the public and you have the wright immage about what this performingrights organisations are alike these days...
The performingrights organisations was ment to be our friends , but because the nice friendly and lazzy musicans are not taking theire part in fighting for theire rights the situation is becoming more and more publishing and jinglemaker friendly while musicans especially in the modern electronic dancestyles get maybe 20% of what they should get...majestic wrote:Huh?
