Something I've wanted for a few years is the ability to reverse a MIDI clip. For example:
MIDI clip is: A 1/8th B 1/4 C 1/8 D 1/2
reverse it: D 1/2 C 1/8 B 1/4 A 1/8th
This would be really useful to make reverse audio clips. Put your MIDI in, reverse MIDI, resample the reversed MIDI, and then reverse your resampled MIDI. Then you have your original phrase reversed with the original timings.
Reverse MIDI
Re: Reverse MIDI
yes please!
other compositional tools would also be nice,
no idea what they are called in English,
inversion, retrogfrade,...?
well one of them is reversing of the order?
there is also inverting the interval movements and...
sorry i am tired...
ps:
oh, but if this happens,
make sure that "reversing things without stopping the set" gets implemented at the same time.
thank you

Re: Reverse MIDI
you can do that already with the 'stretch notes' function. just select the notes and right-click > stretch notesbenji23 wrote:Something I've wanted for a few years is the ability to reverse a MIDI clip. For example:

now you can reverse them, change the timing etc.
but yea a dedicated 'reverse notes' would be easier.
