Hi.
Dont know why I am making a meal of this cause I was sure I had done it before....
I am trying to record some audio, like a drum strike, into a track, then i crop the loop and hope to export this so i can later drop it on a drum pad.
I go to export audio and choose renderd track: audio-1
Is this the way to do it?
I am not using arrangement view just session view.
Thanks.

If you're using Session view, you'll need to make sure that you have the clip set to play, and that you set the desired amount of time in the export window.

Not sure how to play the clip AND export it. When I click export i get the dialogue box that allows me to choose the clip. I have selected the correct length now, but I am just getting an empty .wav file now.
Previously i was getting some sound.
My clip length says 0 1 0. So tahts waht i set recording to.
How can I set the clip to play?
Thanks

When you stop your set, if you're going to export from Session View, make sure that there "play" arrow is green for any clip that you wish to record. To do this, make sure you hit global stop (in the transport controls panel) or hit the spacebar (same thing) to stop your clips.
