Monitoring question

Post by Timmy Diamond » Wed May 18, 2005 7:17 pm

Sorry to bring this one up again but can you monitor the Master Channel?

I can monitor the channel that's playing through the Master and the channel I'm cueing at the same time but only if I change the output routing on the cued channel to outputs 3&4 the Maya and move the crossfader to halfway. Of course, when I come to mix it properly, I have to change the output routing back to Master and I can then only listern to 1 of the channels.

I had thought about sending the outputs from the 2 channels I'm using to a 3rd channel before going to the Master but I haven't tried it and it sounds a bit clumsy.

Any ideas people? I have searched through the archives and the manual and I can't find anything. Cheers.

....I found through trial and error is to turn all the sends up half way on the tracks I'm using and turn the output on the sends track to channels 3&4 of my Maya. It's not perfect but it's a step closer! Any advances?
