Rotary Encoder base value

Okay, I cant figure out how to do this, but one of you ableton wizzes may be able to help! I have a single midi rotary encoder. I would like to be able to control a certain ableton audio effect control BUT - only after a value of 64 (out of 127). With On/Off functions ableton allows this. (like "speaker on")

For example, with the drive control in abletons distort effect, I only want to control that after my midi encoder is turned halfway. Is this possible? This is on a audio track.

And is it possible to then set 64-128 of that encoder to control the whole range of the drive knob (with value scaling).

I'm not @ home so I cant sit down with my set up and test, but I do believe this is possible. Make sure the browser window (on the left) is expanded so you can see whats going on when you midi map, and when you map parameter to your control you may be given a min/max option to the right of the parameter/control. You might have to put the device into a rack and map the parameter to one of the rack macros and them midi map that macro. I'll check at home with my set up and give a definitive later this evening but give that a go and see if it doesnt do what you are trying.

Yeah, I know what your saying, Ableton treats 0-127 as 0%-100% in the midi map panel. And I can set the midi map from 64%-100% so it will stay at 64% till I move pass the midi value that corresponds to. But, Im looking for a way that at a midi value of 64 the rotary knob can start controlling the drive range from 0%. I also thought the macro controls would do this, when blank they read 0-127 but once set to an effect they change their values to the effects value. In my case showing the 0%-100% distortion. So no luck there.

Its possible if you can edit the midi parameters on the device youre using.

Ok. I have a bcr2000 i dont think its possible. So theres nothing to be done from within the software?
What i want to do is: from one and the same knob range 0-64 control a lowpass filter, from 64-127 control a hipass filter.

I don't own a BCR2000, but I'm almost a 100 % sure that you can configure the MIDI sent either directly on the controller or by using a software. Have you looked at the manual?

yeah, its possible to configure the bcr, but i can only send 1 cc from each encoder. I can set a encoder to have any range i want, but still it doesnt matter for what i want to do. Or am i missing something?

I want to turn one encoder and the first half (0-63) of it controls the cut off of a LP filter (from 0-127) the rest of the encoders range (64-127) is ignored by the LP filter. For the HP filter, the first half of the encoder (0-63) is ignored and and the second half (64-127) controls the cut off (from 0-127).

I use the bcr too..
This is not possible without additional software.
You could use bomes midi translator and make 0-63 transmitt on a different cc than 64-127.

edit:
Alternativly, you could use one of the top knobs with a pushbutton..
Map the push-function to toggle 2 separate filters on/off. Set the knob to controll both filters freqs.
Now the knob controls both filters, but you can use the push-function to switch between whos active..
