Epic announcement is epic.

And one step closer towards ableton's live performance territory.

Assuming that those page controls appear on Maschine's displays, I'll most likely be selling Kore.

Something else I'm wondering. Since it looks like there are now pages of macros for plug-ins, like Kore, I wonder if there are multiple pages of macros for groups. That would be a really handy thing.

I haven't been in the habit of using the scenes since I'll fire patterns from Live clips, but have there always been that many scenes available (check out the pic), it goes past 16...

I wouldn't be so quick about that if I were you. The routing possibilities you could have when running Kore inside Maschine are pretty wack...

Thanx for the suggestion... always value your perspective!

Kore and I never really got very intimate so I've been leaning that direction anyhow.

Maschine will now be able to do the 2 things I use Kore for:

*Controlling Plugs
*Creating big, layered, multi-sounds with multiple synths

Regarding number 2... that is if all the sounds in a Group can be played by one controller. Anybody know?

EDIT: Actually just answered that for myself. Easy, just set each sound in the Group to receive midi on the same channel. Done. Now I have to go through all my projects that use Kore and flatten the tracks and record Kore sets into ableton!!! Not sure if it'll be worth how much I can sell Kore for...hmmmmm.

I've got 64 up right now so unless I misunderstand you, there are more than 16 scenes available at any time.

Thanks for confirming, so no change there.

I understand that there is a difference in workflow and hardware integration between MASCHINE and LIVE.

Besides workflow and hardware integration, what can MASCHINE do that LIVE cannot?

Record parameter automation in loops, real-time.
Undo your recorded loops. Or delete parts of your recorded loops in real-time selectively.

Ahahahahahaha!!!!! This is so sick!!! I never expected plugin hosting to come this soon. And in a free update?!!
glitchrock-buddha wrote:... and it's now a pretty powerful standalone app, which unlike Live, can record all movements of parameter tweaks and undo them and do everything from the controller. For once it is sort of a viable Live alternative.
Yup. This also means I will have timestretch within Maschine standalone via Kontakt regardless of whether the internal timestretch they're working on comes in this update or not.

Exciting times. NI is killin' it.

8O Wow. OK, now im sold too.

It will be interesting to see if this will affect Abletons work. (Abes if you read this: whatever you do, please don't force release it premature) Theres rumor about a new dedicated controller from AKAI. But it would be hard to beat Maschine on integration and workflow at this point..

Alright, im saving up for... something!
