Converting .alc to wav

Hi there, alc is not an audio file as such. It is the file for your project. To export mixes that you have in you project you will need to export to wav. In file export audio and video. Choose appropriate settings. Hope this helps

By the way you will need to record first so you have information in the arrange window.

Building on what david_morin suggested, you can also export from Session View, actually - you'll need to specify how long you want the export to be, and make sure that any clips you want to export are active.
