Dunno if the page is legit - but finally native 64 bit and can run 64 bit plugs. Not much perf difference, but nice running sample heavy plugins.

Best bit is finally in-clip manual beat matching and scratching support etc and being able to use my VCI-100 sliders and wheels mapped to clip tempo and sync offset and the central bit mapped to clip position - finally treat clips like decks - very cool - kind of like using tracktor with master tempo rather than other deck tempo. Also the master clock supports CD deck like beatmatching controlls much better now as well.

Auto warping now sets the bar 1 position by default to the first detected beat as well - so dropping in tracks and playing them just works way better now - at most just need to beat skip forward or back a few times generally. Other nice little time saver when chopping long clip up in arrange view - now sets start and ends point sensibly at the chops points - including the loop start/end, so just have to switch loop on if you want it looped.

Not played much with anything else yet, though convolution reverb look like it might be quite decent but the current IRs are a bit so-so. The new tape delay is quite nice - kind of like the simple delay with an overdrive plug in the feedback loop. No other new plugs yet, but early days I guess.

No share still?, but you can at least do mp3 exports natively now which is a bit of a timesaver.

For me the best thing so far has been the new inspiration instrument. With just a push of a button you can transform your initially crappy idea and turn it to a great lead or a stunning beat.

Live 9 is maybe not so far away ! From this morning, my favourite shop is offering 30% discount on Live Suite 8 Thanks to people who advised me to begin with the trial version ! I would have miss this good deal for just a few days otherwise ! Waiting for the postman, now
