1. What you need is synth. Search: kvraudio.com

2. What you need is searching youtube: dance compression or loudness war

recently ive been (along with many other producers) using a lot less compression and a lot less of anything that rapes dynamics.

its about finding good samples and eq'ing them subtly but just in the right ways.

the deadmu5 xfer kits have some of my favorite kick drums.
