Apc 40 question

Why does my Apc 40 play back a midi note when i map one of the pads to an effect? For example i have a midi track with a EQ8 and i mapped one of the filter activators to one of my scene launch buttons, it turns it on and off but when i activate it, it plays a piano note threw my speakers. It is super annoying can any one help plz??

Do you have midi clips loaded into that scene? Perhaps it's launching those clips too.
