Authenticity of Live cannot be verified?
Authenticity of Live cannot be verified?
Every time I open Live I get this message: "Live wants to use your confidential information stored in "Ableton Services (service.ableton.com)" in your keychain. The authenticity of "Live" cannot be verified. Do you want to allow access to this item." I've allowed it and I've denied it but I keep getting this message every time I open Live. Anyone know what it means and does it make a difference. I started with 8.0 and updated to 8.0.9 and that's when I started getting this message. I wouldn't mind updating again, but I'm hesitant if I'm going to keep getting messages like this. Any help?
Re: Authenticity of Live cannot be verified?
Happens to me every update, just click 'always allow' assuming you downloaded the update from Ableton's site.
Re: Authenticity of Live cannot be verified?
Thanks. Is this assuming that one is always online? I'm rarely online when I'm working in Ableton. Of course I have tried allowing it while online, but then the next time I open I still get the same message.

Yea when I first bought Ableton I was not online and had no easy access to the internet. Headache!!
Re: Authenticity of Live cannot be verified?
I have internet access, but when I work on music I'm usually offline. What sucks is that it's a slow wifi connection which is a pain when Ableton updates are like 600mb.
Re: Authenticity of Live cannot be verified?
Your keychain is held on your machine - it is used by OSX to store passwords, etc. Once you have clicked 'always allow' OSX will automatically authorise Live without you having to do anything. Live does not access the Internet when it is running & you don't need to be online.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the information!
