Help working keys out recordings

Hello,

Recently myself and my creative partner have started to record ourselves improvising and we're using the results as the basis for new songs. However one problem we've come across is an effective tool for working out the notation/key that the recordings are in. As we're improvising with a Monotron and a mic plugged into BOSS GT-10 we have memory of what we're actually playing/performing.

Does anyone know of plugins, Ableton Devices, tutorials and techniques for working out the notation in recordings?

Any help is much appreciated.
