DJing using the mixer in Ableton's audio effects

Post by mary jane » Sun Nov 28, 2010 4:58 pm

Hey,

I have been using the DJ master channel mixer which is in the audio effects (Live 7) and I notice that when I am using this effect, it is making the track sound not so great, flat like almost. I am trying to tweak the hi, lo and mids but it is not sounding as good.

Does anyone recommend a different DJ mixer effect?

Thanks

If it's using EQ Three then it will be coloring the sound as long as the EQ is enabled..

You could just try disabling the device when not using it, but this is not ideal..

TBH, i just mapped Hi Mid Lo of the default EQ 3 and I just use that, didn't notice any difference but I'm sure EQ8 would help..

Try downloading LSS DJeq for better dj style eq emulation.

@satoribeats thanks for the suggestion. i've used egthree for pretty much all of my dj work, and i like lss djeq much better.
