how narrow can I have the grid in ableton lite?

Post by alexw » Mon Nov 29, 2010 12:18 pm

Hi,

the smallest I can seem to get it is one bar (in the arrangement view), but I'd just like to cut a couple of beats from the end of a track, not a whole bar.

In the clip view the grid lines are much closer, but I can't seem to edit there.

Thanks!

Right-click in the arrangement view and see what kind of grid you have set - it's possible that you have the grid fixed at 1 bar. You can set the grid to be fixed at a timing interval, or to adapt in a number of different ways, depending on how zoomed in you are.

Thanks so much! I had already tried some other ways (eg. cmd+1 etc), but I just tried your suggestion and it worked, Thanks!
