audio latency / delay
audio latency / delay
Hi,
I have a normal house track loaded into Ableton and i set the first base of the track on "1.1.1." After i started recording different stuff on different channels. Quite as normal.
My problem is that the overall sound does not start on the first base, but only at the second. Although the sequencer shows me that he is playing the first base.
I took another track of my to look if theres is the same problem. But no, everything is as it should be, no audio delay.
I assume that it because of the imported track (mp3)?
But i really don't know what to do now.
Can you help me please?
Thanx in advance!

Re: audio latency / delay
Hi, would you post a screenshot of your set, with the clip showing?

Re: audio latency / delay
It looks like you've got 1.1.1 set to start after the first warp marker - try deleting all warp markers that occur before 1.1.1.
Re: audio latency / delay
Unfortunately this doesn't helped.
Any other ideas maybe.
That would be great!
Thanx

Re: audio latency / delay
It also looks like the track is muted in the screenshot you posted - though I assume this isn't the case when you're trying to play it? Do you have any automation in the clip or on the track?
Re: audio latency / delay
nothing of it.
everything of each track, basedrum, baseline.... everything starts late....

Re: audio latency / delay
Oh, it's every track in the mix? I had thought that your issue was that one track was starting out of sync with the others.
Do you have any delays on the track? Also, could you post a shot of your Preferences->Audio window?

Re: audio latency / delay
yes everything (the whole song) starts with a delay. not only the track "audio 1" where i imported the song. and no, i don't have any delays...
as i wrote before, with my other songs i don't have this problem. it is only with this one. so i don't think that my audio preferences are the reason.
here is a screenshot

thanx

Re: audio latency / delay
Getting this too now, 3 weeks in to working on a project and out of the blue the audio now does not match up with what I see on the screen. The song plays fine, (although automation is now totally screwed as that seems to be going of what is visually going on on the display) no weird plugins, CPU max is 20% tried at different buffer settings, one day all good and now the screen is not matching what's playing.... I'm using Live Suite 8.2.1, and these random little qurks that keep popping up with this daw are really starting to wind me up.

Re: audio latency / delay
okay guys, just had further looks at the project and here is what I found:
in a nut shell Ableton doesn't seem to like tracks with in my case 4 UAD2 plugins on.
It seems to delay the whole project visually to try and keep the audio in time.
in my case what causes this issue is a chain of plugins such as:
Bass Amp Room > UAD 4K > Ableton Comp (Side chained to a kick) UAD LA3A > UAD Multiband comp. if I delete the last 3 plugins on my bass track the project both visually and audio are in time.
Hope this makes sense and to me, I would class it as a bug.
Is this something which can be sorted?
Cheers, Thomas.
