Voice/vocal track ebm/industrial style in Live 7
Hi,
I need an advice on a voice/vocal track ebm/industrial style in Live 7.
How can I let the voice sound more darker/dangerous/slighty distorted/fancier in realtime?
Is there a free plugin for that or with Live 7 included?
Off topic: What hardware device (available) would do the effect, how?
The voice/vocal sounds from Skinny Puppy, Numb and old Leather Strip vocals should be a good starting point for me.
Thank you

grain delay with no feedback. Really short delay time. Adjust other variables to taste. Vocoder with noise as carrier- dunno about free ones tho'. Excessive compression. The grain delay can also be used as a pitch shifter. I use a rack of three grain delays to create a four voice choir singing an extended chord.

try this: use a combination of eq 8 or eq 3 or autofilter to create a telephone sound. after that put the dynamic tube or the saturator to distort it the way you like. you can even try redux for this - really mean!. now use a delay or reverb. i like the filterdelay for this kind of stuff. tweak your sounds by ear and have fun! cheers!

thank you. btw Very nice myspace site. I spent a good hour listening to your *let's say* very frisky voice tracks. Also the architecture photos from Cafe Concrete are very inspiring. Keep the good work coming!

Cafe concrete looks interesting. Maybe I come around to Plymouth and have a look, when I'm back in London this autumn.
Thanks for the input

that is very much not what I expected after your initial post's references to Skinny Puppy and Numb.0815 wrote:Dear friends,

Right. This is a commissional work for an art project. It is meant to be a easy dance club track in the beginning, which unfolds the artistic meaning in the end with the George W. Bush Samples.antarktika wrote:that is very much not what I expected after your initial post's references to Skinny Puppy and Numb.0815 wrote:Dear friends,
