btw - good effort Machines.
The DAW is actually Ensoniq Paris, but I can see why you said Sawstudio (which looks similar) and I agree totally with your sentiments about SAW, overpriced and ugly indeed.
Paris was actually a great DAW for it's time, it was ahead of Protools and it's DSP based system sounded really good, but like Opcode Vision, another great DAW of it's era, both were defeated by Protools and died before their time.
Also correct on the Odyssey, it's revision 3, which looked the coolest but was considered weaker sounding with some economies, especially compared to a 1st revision model. Also correct on the Fairlight, this model an early CMI.
The EQ is a Massenburg GML9500, but kudos on the Manley, which does actually look similar.
Since I'm hijacking 8 Os thread here (sorry), the other equipment is a Roland R8 Human Rhythm Composer (still one of the best digital drum machines of all time) and a Yamaha QY10 pocket sequencer. The mixer is a Trident Series 70, the little brother of the famous Trident A80 used on many hit records of the late 70s to mid 80s particularly.

I was about 13 when the CMI came out, and had just started lusting after synths, so that one was easy.leedsquietman wrote:btw - good effort Machines.

( I still want one, but they're collectors items and still brutally expensive even if outdated )
Same with the Odyssey, always wanted an Arp 2600, so I know that look a mile away. Paris I only heard good things about, but wasn't it a dedicated hardware set up like Pro Tools was until recently? Opcode wasn't killed by Pro Tools, but by being dumb enough to allow Gibson to buy them, and run them into the ground because the owner of Gibson is an egocentric ass.
This is especially painful to me because Gibson Les Pauls are my favorite guitars, always have been.
SAW seems like a con game, and that's being nice.
