Waves SSL AU's unresponsive

Hi--

When I insert Waves SSL (v7) AU plugins in Live (8.1.1), they're almost completely non-functional: most of the functions (aside from "Trim" on the E-Channel) do nothing at all to the sound. The VST versions work just fine.

After following the suggestion in this thread http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=133496, I can now usually get the plugins to work by clicking the bypass button (in the lower part of the Live screen) twice.

Maybe I shouldn't care which version I use, but I have generally reached for AU versions for years, for whatever reason, and of course they should work properly...
